Synthetic Micro/Nanomotors for Drug Delivery

نویسندگان

چکیده

Synthetic micro/nanomotors (MNMs) are human-made machines characterized by their capacity for undergoing self-propelled motion as a result of the consumption chemical energy obtained from specific or biochemical reactions, response to an external actuation driven physical stimulus. This has fostered exploitation MNMs facing different biomedical challenges, including drug delivery. In fact, superior systems efficient delivery drugs, offering several advantages in relation conventional carriers. For instance, self-propulsion ability makes possible easier transport drugs targets comparison distribution passive carriers circulating within blood, which enhances bioavailability tissues. Despite promising avenues opened use synthetic applications, development vivo uses requires further studies ensure suitable biocompatibility and biodegradability fabricated engines. is essential guaranteeing safety patient convenience. review provides updated perspective potential applications Moreover, most fundamental aspects related performance biosafety also discussed.
